Whitman is active––this isn’t a secret. With my fresh first-year perspective, I still meander around campus, jaw dropped in awe of both the physical and intellectual talents of my peers. From the soccer player who is a potter in her free time to the BBMB major who has a passion for singing, the students at Whitman College both take on many activities and fully submerge themselves in those, flirting with being involved to the point their activities define them as people. Trying to branch out of my first-year bubble, I worked with students of a variety of disciplines, asking them how they felt they were connected to what they do. Using a photo editing program, I then overlaid photos that represent their activities, showing the connectivity between the Whitman College student body and the passion that stands behind their actions.
