Seniors Chris Faidley and Brendan Ziegler played their final game of their college careers in front of full house on its feet for the whole game on Friday Feb. 20, but Lewis & Clark beat Whitman 73-68. The Missionaries end their season at 9-16 (5-11 NWC).
Trailing 71-68, Whitman had a chance to tie at the end of regulation but couldn’t get a shot off before turning the ball over. First-year point guard Brandon Shaw led Whitman with 19 points, and Faidley added 15. Faidley will leave Whitman as the school’s second all-time leading scorer.
