The Whitman men’s varsity tennis team reached its 91st consecutive regular season victory on February 16, 2013, playing both indoors at the Bratton Tennis Center and on Whitman’s outdoor courts. Whitman beat the opposing Willamette University Bearcats 7-2.

For the doubles: No. 1 pair Andrew La Cava ’14 and Sam Sadeghi ’13 fell to Willamette in a tie-breaker; No. 2 Matt Tesmond ’13 and Andy Riggs ’14 won 8-0; and No. 3 Noah Lee ’16 and Colton Malesovas ’15 won 8-1. For the singles: La Cava, Sadeghi, Steven Roston ’14, Riggs, and Lee each bested their Bearcat opponents, but Malesovas, Whitman’s number one singles player, fell to Willamette’s Joshua Wong in the third set.
