On Friday, May 1, over three dozen students and staff staged a protest in front of Penrose Library in response to instances of police brutality in the United States. Students made signs and then lay on the ground, resembling dead bodies. Organized by the Black Student Union (BSU), the protest emulated other “die-ins” on campuses and in public places across the country. Sophomore Sean Hannah, president of the Black Student Union (BSU), spoke before the die-in.
