Goodbye Objectivity

There came a moment in which I could no longer think rationally about the world, in which I began to feel like never before.

I would have expected this to be burdensome, too much to handle. But it´s not. The problems of the world are only overwhelming if you try to think about them rationally. Reason is a useful tool, but it doesn’t produce commitment, and it doesn’t lead to meaningful social change.

There came a moment in which I learned what cannot be taught, came to an understanding that words cannot describe and logic cannot change.

“Someday, perhaps I will have to sit in front of my children and tell them that we were defeated. But I will not be able to look into their eyes and tell them that they live this way because I didn´t bring myself to fight.”
