The women’s basketball team clinched a spot in the Northwest Conference tournament with an 81-56 home win over Whitworth University (12-12, 6-9 NWC). Junior Hillary White scored 19 points to lead Whitman (17-7, 9-6 NWC). The Missionaries can earn the No. 3 seed in the tournament if they beat Lewis & Clark in their regular season finale in Sherwood on Friday, Feb. 20. The tournament starts Feb. 26.
