Women’s Tennis, 3/5/11

The Whitman women cruised to a 7-2 victory over Puget Sound on Friday, March 4. At No. 1 doubles , Elise Otto ’11 and Alyssa Roberg ’13 crushed their Logger opponents 8-0. Kate Kunkel-Patterson ’13, pictured, pushed through a tiebreak to win her first set and proceeded to win the second to clinch the point at No. 4 singles. She teamed with Emily Rolston ’12 earlier in the match to post a 8-3 victory at No. 2 doubles.

Saturday, March 5, the women fell 6-3 to Whitworth. Otto and Roberg teamed up for another win at No. 1 doubles, while Roberg and Kunkel-Patterson posted singles victories at No. 2 and 4 respectively.

Roberg earned NWC Student Athlete of the Week after a perfect weekend at No. 1 doubles and No. 2 singles.
