UPDATE – 4:16 p.m., protesters marched on the sidewalk from S 9th Street and have arrived Jefferson Park. There are still roughly 100 to 150 people involved in the march.

UPDATE – 4:06 p.m., police have once again asked protesters to move onto the sidewalk. There have been claims made by protesters that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers are in Walla Walla, but the Whitman Wire cannot independently verify these claims.
UPDATE – 3:50 p.m., cards detailing how to interact with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers are currently being passed out at the Walla Walla Plaza rally. The rally has started marching eastward on Main Street.
UPDATE – 3:35 p.m., Main Street has been closed.
3:32 p.m. WALLA WALLA, WA – At 2:00 p.m. today, between 150 and 200 people started a march outside the Starbucks on Main Street to stand in solidarity with immigrants, who currently face mounting threats of deportation. Members marched in the middle of Main Street up to Cordiner Hall before returning back to main street.
At 3:18 p.m., police gave their first order for people to step back onto the sidewalk. The march has ended, but has turned into a rally that is currently being held in the Walla Walla Plaza on Main Street.
