Upcoming event: Anti-racist writing workshop with Felicia Chavez

Alasdair Padman, Editor-in-Chief

Visiting author and digital storyteller Felicia Rose Chavez will lead the Anti-Racist Writing Workshop for Whitman faculty and staff on Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 4 pm.

According to the Whitman Events Calendar, the workshop is an extension of Chavez’s book “The Anti-Racist Writing Workshop: How to Decolonize the Creative Classroom” and will explore “anti-racist practices that can be used in writing classrooms and creatives spaces across disciplines.”

Participants should read the introduction to Chavez’s book in preparation for the event. They are also strongly encouraged to bring their own writing to share and workshop during the event.
