This past Saturday, Sept. 29, Whitman’s Interest House Community set up tables and hosted performances along Boyer Avenue that served to spark interest in their housing opportunities. From crafts at the Fine Arts House to Boba at the Asian Studies House, each facilitated a food or activity representing their unique focuses. The street was crowded with Whitman students and Walla Walla locals alike, snagging tasty La Casa tacos, lemonade from local kids, and “dirt cups” from the Outhouse. From the food, to performances by the three A Capella groups and Whitman’s slam poetry group Almighty Ink, to a slack-line and bounce house, there was an endless supply of entertainment for a beautiful afternoon.
