So, What is the Choker Fashion Trend About Anyways, and Why Should I Participate?

Unfortunately for the fashion trend, chokers have been given a bad rap due to their frivolous nature. However, I would like to point out all the reasons why chokers are a jewelry piece that are as timeless as diamonds and as sensible as a good pair of jeans.

First off, a choker is not as uncomfortable as one might think: if you wear a choker every day for approximately 51 days, your skin will build up a callous thick enough to withstand the grinding of a coarse piece of fabric sliding around your neck, and it will really spice up your style. Also, if you don’t want to drop $45 on the cutest choker ever, you can just fashion your own out of, say a shoelace, or perhaps even a long zip-tie (this material is particularly good because when your parents ask you to please stop wearing that silly choker, you can tell them it’s literally never coming off!). I mean, let’s be honest. Chokers just look really good with any outfit because they add that extra pizazz, and if you’ve ever felt like your neck is too long, chokers are really good at visually cutting of at least an inch of your neck! Chokers can even be considered a form of activism. If you want to sympathize with domesticated animals and see what it feels like to have something around your neck and be constrained by a leash, why not give it a try and show your support?

But most importantly, if you become a choker wearer, you’ll get to join a very exclusive and special club in that you will officially solidify that your style is more hip and grunge than anyone else’s, and finally prove to the world that your style is still relevant.
