Internships can provide valuable experience when trying to get a job in the “real world.” Over the summer, countless Whitman students explore internships in different fields, often having an experience they did not expect. Some critics of student internships say these positions often focus on basic administrative tasks rather than the acquisition of skills related to their career goals.
