Majorly competitive?

Across campus there is a spirited debate over which students work the hardest, have the easiest major and are most pretentious about their academic department. Some students reject these categories, suggesting instead that any liberal arts major is what you make of it. And so, beyond the inter-school competition, is a more serious question: how does a Whitman bachelor’s degree, regardless of major, prepare us for life after graduation?
