A blend of modern comfort and country chic, Lewis Peak Estates is nestled twenty minutes outside of Walla Walla. Although the house is at a slight distance from town, it is very easy to find and a great alternative to a hotel.
With five fully furnished bedrooms: three of which have private baths: an additional make-shift bedroom with a pullout ottoman, and several air mattresses, there was plenty of space for our entire party of ten. Each bedroom has its own flair, decorated with utmost attention to detail. Everything from the complimentary shower accessories to the high thread count sheets made our stay comfortable.
Between all of the bedrooms and the two living areas it was easy to find space for both private and group time. With an open concept, the first floor living space was ideal for our large group to gather. Likewise the kitchen and dining area were spacious enough for everyone to help out with the cooking and find a place at the table, which can be expanded to fit up to twelve. The kitchen came fully stocked with all necessary cooking accessories and dishware. Although the dishwasher was not working when we were there, the inconvenience was negligible.
Out of all the amenities the house offered, the outdoor hot tub was my group’s favorite. Right outside the front door on the deck, the hot tub was the perfect place to relax at night. Both clean and hot upon arrival, there was no set up necessary: everything down to the outdoor towels were provided. The Christmas lights strung from the roof of the house added to the ambiance of the colorful lights and waterfall the hot tub provided.
Our only complaint was that the house is right next to Route 12. Yet we found the traffic to be minimal.
The rolling hills and surrounding wildlife enhanced the scenery. Aside from a grassy area in front of the house, the rest of the landscape is mostly wild: although some of our party wished it was not so wild. Adding to the outdoors was a pen of emus at the top of the property belonging to the neighbors, which proved to be another one of my group’s favorites. Even though the cold weather prevented us from seeing many other animals, I’m told that pheasants, quails, and hummingbirds, among others, can be seen in the spring months.
The overall package of Lewis Peak Estates was wonderful, and we couldn’t have asked for much more. The presentation and thought put into our stay was top-notch. Our group agreed unanimously that we would all return.
