First-year Claire Revere came into Whitman already boasting one Junior National team appearance and this year, she made the team once again. Following a written application process, Revere was selected to go to the physical tryouts at the west coast location and was selected from the 80 girls chosen to attend the physical tryouts for a spot on the team.

For most other Whitman students, though, Valentine’s Day is only a consumer-supported reminder of their loneliness and disappointment with the conventions of Whitman’s “dating scene.”

Fun, first-years invigorate fall UItimate season

As happens every fall, a flurry of color, yelling and fun has enveloped Ankeny Field. It can mean only one thing: Ultimate Frisbee is back. The men and women's teams return to action, preparing for an extremely important fall season. The team must address the issue of keeping practice focused to develop a large group of new players, while keeping the atmosphere light and fun. Not an easy task.
