Every fall Whitties don mouth guards, strap flags to their waists, put on their cleats and head out to play one of the most popular IM sports offered at Whitman: flag football.

When I was looking at schools, I was looking at small liberal arts schools kind of off West Coast I-5: so, like, Willamette, Lewis & Clark, Santa Clara, those type of schools. And this is the best place [smiles].

IM sports offer competition, community

Varsity athletes aren't the only ones who have the chance to represent Whitman through sport: Intramurals are a way for students to get out and play while having fun with friends, creating close bonds that have the potential to last throughout your Whitman career.
