Whitman tennis pulled off an NWC championship tournament double this past weekend, as both the men's and women's teams capped off fantastic seasons with conference tournament titles and automatic bids to the NCAA Tournament.

This week, the Sports Blog takes a look at the state of Whitman sports heading into spring break.

Men's and women's tennis are the first of potentially several sports to undergo changes in the NWC's postseason structure. Coaches from the soccer and baseball programs across the conference are looking into the addition of a conference championship tournament to conclude the regular season, which would provide the NWC's automatic qualifier bid to the NCAA tournament.

Much like their student athletes, Whitman varsity coaches use the summer as a time to recuperate and recharge.
