To an athlete, it doesn’t get much better than playing at home. It means no travel, no hotels, no rowdy opposing fans. It means playing in a familiar place, not losing valuable sleep from travel and best of all, having close friends cheering for you and jeering at whoever is unfortunate enough to have to play you on a given weekend.
