Hungry for some key conference wins, the women’s soccer team faced Pacific University (6-1-2, 3-1-1 NWC) and Linfield College (8-1, 4-1 NWC) over the weekend, losing to Pacific but defeating 17th ranked Linfield.
This year, the Missionaries look like a completely different team. They are off to their best start in over a decade, so far undefeated and having already amassed 14 goals for and only one against. In its first five games, the team has already matched its win total from last season.
Despite losing seven seniors from last year's team, the Whitman women's soccer team believes they can improve on last year's record and continue their climb up the Northwest Conference.
