'RAPtivism,' a hip-hop album by Whitman alumnus Aisha Fukushima ’09, has finally been released after years of traveling, recording and post-production. Fukushima, who was able to produce the album thanks to her Watson Fellowship, traveled extensively in Africa, Europe and Asia.

Whitman psychs up for Seattle rap act Macklemore, Ryan Lewis

On Saturday, March 3, Seattle-based hip-hop artist Macklemore and producer Ryan Lewis will play a sold-out show in the ballroom of Reid Campus Center. The concert, which was only announced last week, generated a massive response, with students camping out in line to secure one of only 500 tickets.
