Baseball Looks to Take Next Step Towards Contention

Together as one – from the field to the dugout, these three simple words serve as the motto that drives the Whitman baseball team day in and day out. Coming off the best season in school history since 1975, the team looks to build on their recent success behind a veteran-heavy squad, including 12 seniors, as the 2014 season begins.

Baseball emerges hopeful after disappointing season

Hopes for a more successful baseball season were dashed as the team finished 5-19 in the Northwest Conference with an overall record of 5-34. While many players expressed disappointment with the season's results, they also recognized that the team has made significant improvements.

Sports, Greek life: A complementary relationship?

Greek life and varsity sports share many core goals: building a sense of family, working together to accomplish goals and, above all, having fun. So it is not surprising to find at Whitman a thriving culture of Greek athletes. Athletes' participation in Greek life, however, spans the spectrum from a positive relationship to a disruptive engagement.
