“Yes, I personally feel safe on campus, but I’m aware and disheartened that that’s not a feeling that everybody on campus has. I think this campus does have exclusionary norms, such as happiness and friendliness, even–and whiteness–and these norms do make some feel unsafe. And so while I personally feel safe, it disgusts me that that’s not a shared feeling.”
