This week in ASWC

What is your secret area of expertise? Do you have an obscure hobby? Would you like to teach or lead fellow students in a self-designed workshop this January?   Pick up a Winterim application! Past programs have included overnight camping and biking trips, intensive day or multi-day workshops and various skill building sessions ranging from ultimate Frisbee to Chinese cooking to henna tattoos. Applications are available NOW outside the ASWC office, due Monday November 3, to the ASWC inbox in RCC 210.

Oversight Chair Kendra Vandree has chosen two new members to join the committee which oversees ASWC operations and holds it to ethical standards. Welcome to Liz Reetz and Jack MacNichol! These two are pending approval of the Senate; next meeting is Sunday, November 2, in RCC G02 and is open to the student body.

The Blue Scholars performance was executed marvelously by Public Events Director Sam Chasan and the programming committee. Assistant Director of Student Activities LeAnn White celebrates the conduct of students at the event. Is there a band you would like to see at Whitman? Contact the public events director at [email protected].

Do you have a problem with some aspect of Whitman policy? Contact your advocate, ASWC Vice President and Chairman of Student Affairs Roman Goerss, at [email protected].
