Walla Walla voters pass sales tax increase to maintain Valley Transit services

Voters in the Walla Walla County Public Transportation Benefit Area approved a sales tax increase to maintain the current level of public transit. The measure received over 76 percent of the vote. Without the tax increase, Valley Transit would be forced to cut two bus lines and reduce frequencies on other lines.
