This year’s ASWC elections will encourage students to vote by keeping polls open for a longer period of time and having physical voting booths in addition to individual online voting.
Godwin Wang, who garnered two write-in votes in last spring’s election, was offered the position following Nick Hochfeld’s resignation at the beginning of the semester.
ASWC Faculty Liaison Jack Percival, speaking before the election, was enthusiastic about the campaign.
“I am excited to see how much interest there is among the freshman class about ASWC," said Percival. "I am excited to see who will be elected to represent their class, and I am sure that whoever is will do so to the best of their ability.â€
