The Martial Arts club is geared mainly towards Taekwondo, a Korean martial art. The structure of meetings follows traditional Taekwondo classes, practicing forms as well as sparring. Club member Austin Sloane ’15 explained that the sparring is an exercise in control and does not involve physical contact. Members come from a variety of martial arts backgrounds and skill levels. “We like to talk a lot about other disciplines and bring in what we can to class,” said Sloane.
