Senate, House and Governor election updates

The Wire will be providing updates on Senate elections across the US. We will be using data provided by the Associated Press, FiveThirtyEight and The New York Times.

Senate:

The Democrats have secured 48 seats and the Republicans 48. This is a +1 seat net gain for the Dems. There are four seats still open. Both senate races in Georgia will go to a Runoff.

House:

The Democrats hold 216 house seats and the Republicans 196.  Despite the +5 net gain for Republicans, the Democrats are projected to maintain control. There are 23 seats still up in the air.

 

10:32 a.m. — Abigail Spanberger, Democrat, wins re-election in Virginia’s Seventh Congressional District.

Nov 7th —Darrell Issa, Republican, wins California’s 50th Congressional District.

Nov 7th —David Schweikert, Republican, wins re-election in Arizona’s Sixth Congressional District.

Nov 7th — Conor Lamb, Democrat, wins re-election in Pennsylvania’s 17th Congressional District.

Nov 7th — Carolyn Bourdeaux, Democrat, wins Georgia’s Seventh Congressional District.

Nov 7th — Jeff Van Drew, Republican, wins re-election in New Jersey’s Second Congressional District.

8:10 a.m. — Haley Stevens, Democrat, wins re-election in Michigan’s 11th Congressional District.

6:12 p.m. — Gary Peters, Democrat, wins re-election to the Senate in Michigan.

5:40 p.m. — Peter Meijer, Republican, wins Michigan’s Third Congressional District.

5:30 p.m. — Victoria Spartz, Republican, wins Indiana’s Fifth Congressional District.

10:53 a.m. — Elissa Slotkin, Democrat, wins re-election in Michigan’s Eight Congressional District.

10:52 a.m. — Susan Collins, Republican, wins re-election to the Senate in Maine.

10:32 a.m. — Jared Golden, Democrat, wins re-election in Maine’s Second Congressional District,

8:20 a.m. — Elaine Luria, Democrat, wins re-election in Virginia’s Second Congressional District.

8:16 a.m. — Mondaire Jones, Democrat, wins New York’s 17th Congressional District.

7:38 a.m. — Ashley Hinson, Republican, wins Iowa’s First Congressional District.

6:21 a.m. — Lauren Boebert, Republican, wins Colorado’s Third Congressional District.

8:02 p.m. — Jeff Merkley, Democrat, wins re-election to the Senate in Oregon.

8:02 p.m. — Jim Risch, Republican, wins re-election to the Senate in Idaho.

8:00 p.m. — Roger Marchall, Republican, wins the Senate race in Kansas.

7:30 p.m. — Gov. Mike Parson, Republican, wins re-election in Missouri.

7:38 p.m. — Gov. Roy Cooper, Democrat, wins re-election in North Carolina.
