Symposium discusses spectacle in the global media

Uprisings in Egypt and other Middle Eastern countries over the past few weeks have demonstrated the importance of spectacles in the international media. With these recent events in mind, speakers gathered in Maxey Auditorium to participate in a symposium entitled “Global Media, Global Spectacle" on Sat. Feb. 26.

The month of February has seen an uproar in Whitman College spirit, as the Whitman men's basketball team marched to a regular season win over #1-ranked Whitworth and playoff victory over Lewis & Clark, before falling to Whitworth in the NWC championship game in Spokane. Reflecting on three of the biggest games in Whitman basketball history, this is the view from the student section.
