On Thursday, Feb. 27, Whitman Events Board hosted the headlining artist Sol featuring Skizzy Mars and Sam Lachow. Hosting big concerts at Whitman proves difficult, due to its being a small institution a few hours away from any metropolitan cities like Seattle and Portland.

Sophomores Katrina Allick and Jenna Dobrin (tennis), Robert Maislin (baseball), and Brennan Johnson (Ultimate) came into this summer fresh off their first year of college athletics with their eyes set on coming back stronger next year. They checked in over the middle of the summer to give a look into what college athletes do to prepare for the coming year.

Over the past weekend the Whitman women's tennis team was hard at work at the USTA/ ITA Fall Regional Tournament, their first major tournament of the season. The stakes at this competition are high, as every participant competes for the few available positions in the USTA/ITA Fall National tournament in Mobile, Alabama, and All-American recognition.
