Off Campus Studies Announces Two New Partner Programs

Recently, two new study abroad programs were approved by the Off Campus Studies office. The two new programs will be a yearlong program in Munich, Germany and a semester computer science program in Budapest, Hungary. The addition of these two programs is part of a review process that the Office Campus Studies Office has recently been undertaking.

New Computer Science Department Takes Shape

Whitman College made new additions this year to its computer science department, welcoming new professor Janet Davis and remodeled classrooms in Olin Hall. This year is the first year that Whitman will offer computer science as a minor to students. While the college has administered classes in computer science in the past, the department has expanded its course offering to include a Human-Computer Interaction class and 400 level Special Topics courses that will be determined in the future.
