Issue 11 Live Blog

I cannot believe we’re already to Issue 11. Today’s production night is much like any other. While the newspaper includes new stories every week that refresh the paper’s content, there is a certain monotony to the weekly routine we all continually experience. I’m in a reflective mood this week with our Thanksgiving Break coming up soon, so keep checking back for a new and interesting thought as well as updates about how our evening is going. -MPS

4:30 PM: I just directed one of our PAs to reconfigure the sports page, hopefully the snacks I’m about to buy help ease his pain.

7:30 PM: Three hours after my first post, I have a lot of new information. We’ve all signed for our stipends (awesome). Anthony, one of our venerable copy editors, just asked his boss, Rachel, “are you smiling because you’re happy or are you showing teeth because you’re about to bite my throat out?”

That’s a really good question, we still aren’t sure.

8:01 PM: Rachel did not eat anyone’s throat, and our PAs are hard at work correcting any small mistakes made throughout the writing process.

8:29 PM: Our trusty E-I-C, Sarah Cornet, stepped out and we’re now very confused about who is in charge.

8:56 PM: Wow! Front Page is done and is currently being copy edited. Big steps being taken here.

9:13 PM: “Things are looking really good for this hour!!” -Sarah (EIC)

10:34 PM: Four pages are ready for PDF! We’re almost there.

12:00 AM: And that’s all, folks. We definitely made it out of the newsroom well before midnight but I didn’t get around to this post until now. Enjoy the Pio! It hits news stands tomorrow around noon.
